Milk Crate Toy Storage

So, toys have become the bane of our existence! I think we've done good about not letting them take over but still, toy storage has become a much googled topic. It is insane how much you can pay for toy chests and bins and cubes... even ikea didn't come thru for me! So, we resorted to the ever popular (and free) milk crate. Spray painted them blue and brown and anchored them to the wall. Total cost: $5.07 for spray paint. And I think my client is happy with the results!

  1. Hello ... what did you use specifically to anchor the crates to the wall... I wanted to try and recreate your genius idea and I wanted to do it safely so I figured I'd ask the creator... thank you :)

  2. I have crates in my sons room as well, but they are just stacked. I'm gonna use this idea.

    Thanks for sharing.

  4. Hey. I used the metal drywall anchors that look like big screws. I also used washers between the screw head and crate. I think I used two per crate ( we don't live there anymore so I can't check). The metal anchors are really strong and hold a lot of weight!
